As founder of Patriot Homes, Inc. Samuel V. Weidner has grown the company from a start-up operation to a peak of eleven manufacturing plants in the states of Indiana, Alabama, Missouri and Texas. The company began with fewer than two dozen employees and now employs close to 1,000. Mr. Weidner is also responsible for the chief management of numerous Model Home Centers in So. Dakota, Texas and Indiana.

- 1967 - Joined Monarch Homes, Middlebury, IN and was principally
engaged in marketing for manufactured housing plant.
- 1971 - General Manager, Mann Industries, Elkhart, IN
manufactured housing plant.
- 1972 - Founded Patriot Homes, Inc. in Elkhart, IN.
- 1978 to 1984 - Served as a member of the Indiana Manufactured
Housing Association (IMHA) Board of Directors.
- 1981 to 1983 - Served as President of Indiana Manufactured
Housing Association and was the first manufacturer to serve as
President.
- 1989 - Chairman of the TACH Committee, in a variety of roles,
interacting with state agencies as well as various groups involved
with HUD and political figures in Washington D.C.
- 1990 - Inducted into the RV/MH Hall of Fame.
- 1991 - Chairman of the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI). In
this role, Weidner spearheaded the merger of the national industry
retailers association with the industry manufacturers association.
- 1994 - Served on HUD Advisory Council, appointed by Secretary of
HUD. In addition he Served on the MHI Board of Directors.
- 1997 - Named Entrepreneur of the Year, Construction Category in
the Northern Indiana Entrepreneur of the Year Award program. He
was a finalist in two categories: Construction and Masters.
